I had a good laugh at this. When my little girl was younger than a year, I'd put her in the carry cot, in the bath, so I could watch her while I showered. And even then, I didn't manage to get it all done. Now that she's walking/crawling all over the place, I tried to put her on the floor with some toys, and quickly shower, but she discovered the loo brush, the bin and how to open the toilet. Will have to find a new way, because man I do so enjoy my showers. As for the hair, I am blessed with naturally curly hair, so quick mousse and air dry works best for me anyway. As for the shaving - oh, man, good thing hubby and I aren't planning a second yet, cause to find the time to shave for that special moment is just non existent right now.

I'm with the author on this one. I, though, will put on Sesame Street On Demand (54 min long!!) and put the little man in the pack & play while I shower and primp. My son is 15 mos. old and can wreak havoc in a matter of seconds, so I confine him, take my shower, shave my legs and do my makeup (or moisturizer at the very least). Sesame Street buys me at least 30 min at this age, which is bliss. Also, I read an article in a parenting magazine where the author stated that, no matter what, no matter how crazy her kid was, she ALWAYS found time for lip gloss and perfume. That is my new mantra. No matter what the hair's doing, or how loud my son is screaming, gloss and fragrance are my must-haves. Every. single. day. Makes me feel like a new woman!

Wow, I'm a stay at home mom to a 3 yr old and I can't remember the last time I even blow-dried my hair...Oh wait, it was 6 months ago when I found time to go to the hairdresser (note to self: make another appointment and finally get these roots done). Even if I did have time my daughter is deathly afraid of the blow dryer.

My daily make-up these days (if any) consists of under-eye concealer and blush. No time for anything else around here unfortunately.

Yup, you're making me look bad LOL

Shower door left open to hear screaming if it happens, bun on head, fastest makeup ever (mineral powder. My daughter stares at me the entire time I do my makeup, begging for lipstick when I'm done.) and a wet/dry shaver so I can shave in the living room (and vacuum afterward). maybe once my hair is dry on top I flat iron my bangs, but that's after I have already walked outside and answered the door in my jammies. My dignity is gone along with my private time.

I have used Dora, Diego and/or any other show that I possibly could to get ready for work. Most days though, it was air dry and ponytail for me!

What she said. I usually skip the blow-dryer, straightener, and makeup. Unless i have somewhere fancy to go, like once a year on my anniversary!! I DO use Dora to shave my legs though!
