Ginger Cookies


2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup margarine, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup molasses
2 tablespoons white sugar


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Set aside.

Makes 25-35 Walnut size candies

-1 package regular size Oreo cookies, crushed
-1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
-1 package white bark*
-1 package chocolate bark*

*”bark” is an artificial chocolate or vanilla candy coating/confectioner’s coating used to make a treat called almond bark and can be found at most grocery stores near the chocolate chips.

1 cup White Sugar
1 cup Peanut Butter
1 egg
18 milk chocolate candy kisses, unwrapped

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Combine sugar, peanut butter and egg.
3. Shape into 2 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. (Note: If dough is too sticky, refrigerate 1/2 hour or until easy to handle.)
4.) Bake for 10 minutes. Remove cookies from oven. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
